An Empowering Voice: Sharing a Survivor’s Journey after Sexual Assault

Christy hosts Topic Talk events, that address specific discussions around sexual assault.  She talks about the things nobody else wants to… She’s encouraging others to END THE SILENCE, and to find their voice! Join Christy at one of her events or request to have her lead one for your private group.

Her mission as a SURVIVOR is to empower women & others through their healing journey & share her voice as an advocate on awareness + prevention of sexual assault.  Christy's “voice” has evolved into "Christy's Survivor Journey", a platform where she shares her Survivor Story, by raising awareness with public speaking engagements, hosting intimate informative + healing events, workshops and firearms education classes.

A portion of the proceeds from these events go directly to sexual assault survivors to financially support survivors along their healing journey by practicing yoga + professional firearms training, the “Silent Warrior Fund”. There are yoga class and firearms training class gift certificates waiting to be redeemed by survivors, so if you or someone you know could benefit please contact Christy here

Silent Warrior Workshops

This is a collaborative effort with participating yoga studios to invite me to their studio to share my healing journey with others and how practicing yoga was (and still is) instrumental along my healing journey! A portion of the funds from these workshops is used to purchase gift certificates from the hosting studio to donate to survivors in healing need.  The studio list is growing and I’d love to share my story and yoga healing inspiration with your students and community. Thank you to my grassroots studios right in Alton, NH at Root to Crown Yoga and Your Edge Yoga with Sue Cronin.

FINDING MY VOICE

For over 24 years, I chose to only share my survivor story with close family and friends.  The opportunity to talk publicly about the incident never arose until after I retired from the Air Force in 2017.  This same year, my life changed direction and the timing & platform to share my survivor story presented itself. I started sharing my story in hopes to empower & inspire other survivors, raise awareness, education and prevention. And to also help with prevention and education on self-defense.  Since the summer of 2017, I have spoken publicly about my attack and have answered the calling in my heart to be a voice + help other survivors. Since then, I haven’t looked back and only positive words of empowerment and inspiration are on my agenda! ~Christy Painchaud
